Gig #9 aboard the Desert Belle – done. Cute duckies greeted us as we boarded. The breathtaking beauty of the Tonto National Forest amazed all of us as we cruised Saguaro Lake with Capt. Gino and his crew.
We didn’t spot any antelope, bald eagles or mountain lions; however Rebecca and I saw not one but TWO wild horses on the way to the marina. AND we all spotted Phil’s classmate Teri Chadwick (resident of AZ) as she SUP’d to the boat just as we docked at the end of the cruise – complete with her sweet Aloha sign : )
Mellowed out the evening at home with a smorgasbord of yummy leftovers (Chinese take out, homemade eggplant lasagna) plus steamed lobster claws. What!? Then we all jumped in the pool and talked and laughed the night away.
