Wow what a beautiful sunny Sunday! Phil and I got up early to do our favorite things on Sunday morning, except this time we did it at different spots – I went as usual down to Baldwin Park do my fave Baldwin/Baby Beach walk and he went to surf Ho’okipa since there was a small swell and there were actually some summer waves to be caught! Then we met up at Baked in Haiku to enjoy some yummy breakfast and listen to the wonderful sounds from our daughter Kendall aka Silky Sister performing there today.

P. S. We recently enjoyed a gig for Jazz Night at The Shops At Wailea with our dear friend and fellow musician (and surfer) from Kauai, Steve Dubey. Here’s Phil and Steve playing their original composition “Playa Mojon”. They wrote this song while they were on a surf safari trip in Oaxaca, Mexico. The three of us have a couple of gigs in Los Angeles next month. Always a great time playing wiith Steve!
